Important Information

 
ALL PRICES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE AND IN AUSTRALIAN CURRENCY.

CHECK IN TIMES for all houses depends on tides, and the previous tenants consideration to vacate on time so we can start to check each home and replace tea towels, bin liners etc..
We have 15 houses to look after so the quicker we can get into a home the quicker the next tenants can move in. Consideration on everyone's behalf works for everyone’s best interest and makes it easy for us to get the next group of people in. That person could be you going in so if you would appreciate being able to move in when you arrive with your perishables think of the next ones after you.
We ask for your help with this but of course there will be occasions when someone will not have consideration for the next tenants and in that case you cannot move in till we have checked that house.

ALL HOMES ARE TO BE LEFT CLEAN AS YOU FOUND IT AND ALL FOOD TAKEN OUT OF THE REFRIGERATORS / FREEZERS AND TURNED OFF.
ALL RUBBISH IS TO BE REMOVED AND PLACED IN THE BINS AT THE RUBBISH DUMP.
CHECK OUT TIME IS BY 9.30 AM ON THE DAY OF YOUR DEPARTURE.

NO OTHER REFRIGERATION, HEATED ELEMENTS OR SUCH TO BE PLUGGED INTO ANY OF THESE SOLAR POWERED HOMES. IF IN BUSY FISHING SEASON YOU NEED MORE REFRIGERATION YOU CAN BRING YOUR OWN GENERATORS SO LONG AS THEY ARE NOT NOISY ONES. WE ASK YOU TO THINK OF YOUR NEIGHBOURS ON HOLIDAY. ALSO. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES CAN YOU RUN A LEAD TO ANY OTHER REFRIGERATION. IF SEEN YOU WILL BE ASKED TO REMOVE IT. THE HOUSES CANNOT TAKE MORE ITEMS THAN WHAT IS ALREADY SUPPLIED FOR NORMAL USE AND BY TURNING OFF ALL LIGHTS NOT IN USE SAVE POWER CONSIDERABLY. WASHING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DAY WHEN THE SUN IS OUT ALSO SAVES POWER.
ALL HOMES HAVE A MAXIMUM AND NO MORE ALLOWED THAN IS STATED FOR THAT HOME. 

All homes supply blankets or doonas, pillows but you have to bring your own linen.

All homes supply crockery, cutlery, pots & pans etc,

All deposits to be paid within 2 weeks of booking so as to hold that particular time.

All monies are to be paid via Direct Bank Deposit (info supplied when booking is confirmed), Bank Cheque or Money Order BEFORE arrival. (NO PERSONAL CHEQUES)

NO cash, personal cheque, or EFTPOS accepted on day of arrival.

You must come to the shop for the key BEFORE going to the house unless previous arrangements have been made.

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE MAKING A BOOKING.

  1. IF FOR SOME REASON YOU HAVE TO CANCEL A BOOKING WE DO OUR BEST TO REBOOK THE TIME BOOKED BY YOU AND RETURN YOUR DEPOSIT.
  2. IF YOU CANCEL 6 WEEKS PRIOR TO YOUR BOOKING TIME FULL DEPOSIT LESS $50.00 BOOKING FEE.
  3. CANCELLATION LESS THAN 6 WEEKS IS NOT REFUNDABLE UNLESS WE CAN REBOOK THE TIME.

ALL HOUSES HAVE TO BE LEFT CLEAN AS YOU FOUND IT READY FOR THE NEXT PEOPLE. 

WHAT TO BRING:
All your own personal items, linen, towels etc and a happy disposition to get ready for the greatest holiday of your life.

TIDE AND WEATHER INFORMATION:
Check out www.bom.gov.au and type in Waddy Point and the dates you require.

BARGE INFORMATION:
There is no need to book a barge from Inskip Point (Rainbow Beach) to Hook Point (bottom of Fraser Island) as these barges run continuously from about 7 am – 5.30 pm. daily. The crossing takes about 15 minutes. Allow waiting time if you are on a schedule.

If you are coming from Maryborough/Hervey Bay area you will have to book the barge from River Heads to Wanggoolba Creek on Fraser Island. This barge only travels 3 times a day and the trip is around 30 mins.
Departs River Heads to Wanggoolba Creek: 9am : 10.15am : 3.30pm
Departs Wanggoolba Creek to return to River Heads: 9.30am : 2.30pm : 4pm
